Under the direction of pianist and impresario Orrin Evans, the forward-thinking Imani Records remained active during a most difficult time. Throughout the pandemic, Imani Records had been working diligently to keep music thriving in the form of live music, and in the recorded music sphere. Their weekly Club Patio sessions, which we carried on PIJF’s social media, featured top-flight jazz musicians in concert direct from Evans’ home.
