The PIJF ‘Jazz Train’

Join our returning host, pianist Orrin Evans, on The Jazz Train™ and ride into PIJF to the sounds of jazz! Come aboard on September 19th at Amtrak stations in New York at 10:52 am, Newark at 11:09 am, or Philadelphia at 12:42 pm. Along the way, enjoy live jazz music, gift bags, and light refreshments, and roll into Pittsburgh by 8:00 pm in time for the Jazz Festival’s opening night concert at the AWAACC at 9:00 pm. Then stick around for a weekend of music, fun, food, and camaraderie at PIJF, where your Jazz Train™ package includes a shuttle bus to and from the festival! The Jazz Train™ will depart Pittsburgh on Monday morning, September 23.  Tickets on sale now!

Pittsburgh International Airport is a 20-mile drive west of Downtown, along the I-376 freeway.

Car?

The PIJF is located at Liberty Avenue between 10th and 7th Streets.

Closest parking:

Due to the anticipated high volume of attendees and other events happening this weekend, parking in Downtown Pittsburgh will be limited. We strongly recommend that attendees use public transportation or ridesharing services such as Uber or Lyft to arrive at PIJF.

Ridesharing:

If you are using a ridesharing service like Uber or Lyft, please follow the PIJF signage indicating designated drop-off zones. We recommend using 898 William Penn Place as your drop-off point, located just behind the August Wilson African American Cultural Center building.
